Regenerator Cyclones Installed in Romanian Refinery

Dawcul has just completed a project on behalf of EPC Contractor Christoff Group Romania for their current FCC Revamp Project at the Petrobrazi Refinery, Ploeisti, Romania.

Dawcul’s supply of materials included co-ordinating the manufacture of 6 pairs of FCC Regenerator Cyclones and a Plenum Chamber, as well as sourcing Expansion Joints and Refractory Materials supplied from our partners Van Tongeren (Birmingham, UK), Macoga (Coruna, Spain) and Resco Products (Leicester, UK). Quartis provided 3^rd party inspection services to ensure exacting standards were met.

Our support team from Van Tongeren and Macoga were on site to help with the start-up and commissioning working with Christoff Group. The entire package required additional work as the Plenum Chamber had to be cut into 3 pieces for installation purposes at site during the turnaround.

Some 15 x 40 ft Trucks were required in total, delivering the project on time and to specification.

With so many parties involved, good teamwork and communication were essential, and our Area Manager in Romania, Mr Marius Serban, was on hand locally to ensure timings and schedules were clear and co-ordinated.
