August is traditionally a quieter month as our European partners take a well earned break. Despite this, we have been busy working on projects that will come to fruition in the near future, and we have been involved with a few of our partners, adding support to customers through a site visit, and attending important product presentations to further our knowledge.

15 years’ service of Allen Gears gearbox

Our engineers worked with Allen Gears to successfully complete an onsite service and inspection of a crucial gearbox at the LESS & ENERGY power plant in Čáslav, Czechia.

This Allen Gears 6.5 MW high-speed epicyclic gearbox has been seamlessly operating between the MAN turbine and ELIN turbogenerator for nearly 15 years since its commissioning. We’re thrilled to see it continuing to deliver reliable performance! 

Sulzer present retrofit program

Dawcul, in collaboration with Sulzer Pumps, recently visited customers in Bulgaria from August 6th to 8th. During this period, we had the opportunity to meet with TPP 1 AES and LUKOIL Neftochim Burgas refinery.

Sulzer Pumps presented their comprehensive optimization and retrofit program, designed not only for existing Sulzer equipment but also for other OEM systems. The presentation was highly successful, with both customers expressing strong interest and identifying several potential retrofit projects.

New relations with Grayloc Products

During August Dawcul Limited was invited with Orlen Refinery SA & Orlen Projects SA to Aberdeen to meet with Grayloc Products, An Oceaneering International Company at the Headquarters. Grayloc produce compact, lightweight clamp connectors and with a zero leakage metal to metal seal ring.

This was a great opportunity to discuss ongoing Project works, as well as meet the Grayloc Project Team and via their excellent facility. Our thanks in particular to Gary Walford Sales Director and Melissa Gemmell, Project Manager for their kind hospitality and excellent project support.

Since this visit, we are delighted to have placed a sizeable order with Grayloc for one of our clients in Poland, and are already looking forward to placing a second order with them.
