In June 2024, we reported on a visit to new partner Owatec Group Oy in Oulu, Finland. Owatec operates at the forefront of environmental cleantech making this an important collaboration for Dawcul as we work closely with them on new projects.
These first few months working together have certainly been busy, with meetings taking place in Lithuania where Dawcul has a sales office, and local representative Arijus Skarbalius has assisted in this new territory for Owatec.
Amilina held a meeting with Owatec to discuss sustainability and productivity. As a starch producer, the company is focused on improving water usage in the starch mass separation process. During the meeting, we explored alternatives to their high-capacity centrifugal separators, specifically the potential benefits of introducing Owatec’s advanced water cleaning technology.
Owatec is now preparing a proposal for an onsite inspection and sample analysis procedure in order to initially determine the best process and additives. A more detailed proposal will then be put forward to improve sustainability during the process.
Grigeo Klaipeda produces 100% recycled cardboard from paper waste. During our joint visit, Owatec’s expertise and professionalism helped the client to understand the possibilities for improvement in their processes including:
Going forward we will join Owatec for an on-site inspection and audit of the current water cleaning process and chemicals used, and post-audit we will provide recommendations for process upgrades and new equipment supply.
In collaboration with Dawcul, Owatec has also decided to explore opportunities with another paper factory in Lithuania, aiming to broaden its client base and impact. We are pleased to be advancing the reach of environmental greentech into these new territories, and look forward to exploring more opportunities with them.
