Good working relationships are extremely important to us at Dawcul, which is why we’re always pleased to make and take opportunities to meet customers and suppliers, to learn more about emerging technologies, and share that knowledge.

We have kick started the year with visits to Lithuania, Germany and Hungary to enrich our product knowledge, but first we’d like to report on the milestone of Dawcul’s 10,000th order for our new partner Copes-Vulcan, and an expansion to our partner network with a new distribution agreement with Autocontrol Technologies.

Growing partnership with Copes-Vulcan

Following the announcement in late 2023 of our new partnership with Copes-Vulcan, critical flow control systems specialists, we are delighted to have just secured another project for them, and this enabled Dawcul to reach a huge milestone – it’s 10,000th order is now in process. Not only that but in less than 2 months into 2024, we have been actively engaging with Copes-Vulcan and already have 6 projects issued with them.

The order is to be fulfilled to our customer – a coal-fired electric power plant Maritza East 1 in Bulgaria, where we will be delivering spare parts for C-V valves.

Copes-Vulcan was also featured in the February edition of Valve World regarding their market leading steam conditioning valve technology.

Dawcul in the field

Metrix product training

Norbert Ferenci, Dawcul Area Manager in Hungary, had a customer visit with Gertjan van den Dolder (Regional Sales Manager Europe) from Metrix Vibration in Hungary between 12th to 14th of February.

Gertjan delivered an engaging presentation and showcased Metrix’s comprehensive range of products, including cables, sensors, software, and the DPS system, during their recent meetings with customers in Hungary. Their discussion was insightful as it also delved into Metrix’s industrial vibration monitoring solutions, support services, and expertise.

It was enlightening to learn about Metrix’s flexibility in delivery times and how seamlessly their products can integrate with existing systems, offering end users significant flexibility in terms of cable length, type of target material, probe types, and more. The emphasis on the importance of vibration monitoring for critical rotating equipment, such as reciprocating compressors and pumps, was particularly insightful.

We look forward to continuing our discussions in the future and exploring more potential collaborations between Dawcul and Metrix.

Sulzer Pumps factory visit

After Dawcul’s official appointment in September 2023, Area Managers for Croatia (Ivica Stipic) and Bulgaria (Asen Petrov) joined Company CEO James Bovill for a formal induction and onboarding session at Sulzer Pumps Germany’s Head Office in Bruchsal, Southern Germany.

During the visit, they took the opportunity to explore Sulzer’s comprehensive capabilities in the Energy Sector, allowing them to learn more about New Equipment Supply, Spares, Servicing, and retro-fitting.

Excited about the prospect, we look forward to collaborating with Sulzer on future projects!

Macoga customer on site inspection

Dawcul Area Manager for Lithuania, Arijus Skarbalius, and Company CEO, James Bovill, were very pleased to welcome Simon Stanway from Macoga SA to Orlen Lietuva Refinery in the Mazeikia region of Lithuania in late February.

The morning presented an opportunity to inspect Macoga’s expansion bellows on the Refinery’s FCCU (Cat Cracker) and present our partners’ significant experience and regional coverage to both the maintenance and procurement departments. This allowed for discussion and understanding at a deeper level, making the most of the face to face meeting and seeing Macoga’s products on site.
